CANDLE BASICS
To maximize your scented candle's lifespan, it's important to provide it with extra care. We've compiled key tips to ensure your candle burns flawlessly, allowing you to savor your scented candle from Rude Candles for an extended period.
BURN TIME
In order to guarantee that it burns evenly, always let your candle burn for at least 1 hour and a maximum of 4 hours at a time. The wax should have melted evenly from the wick to the edge of the candle.
CANDLE WICK
Before lighting, keep the wick trimmed to 1/4 inch at all times. The wick should be as straight as possible and not branch out. The optimal length ensures that your candle does not burn too quickly or too slowly.
LOCATION
Your scented candle should not be near a window or in a draft to avoid uneven burning and soot formation. Keep away from flammable objects such as curtains.
SURFACE
Always place your candle on a flat, heat-resistant surface. It is best to use the lid as a coaster to protect the surface, because the glass bottom of your candle can also get very hot.
AT SIGHT
Never leave your candle burning unattended and keep your pets and children away from the candle. Because the glass can get hot, you should only touch your candle and carry it around when it has been extinguished.
EXTINGUISH
To extinguish your scented candle as free of soot and smoke as possible, simply use the lid. Note that the lid can get warm and make sure that your candle is completely extinguished.
